Utility Bar Chair
Utility Bar Chair
Designed by Neri&Hu
Launched in 2013, the Utility collection was named after and inspired by a sense of “Utility”, defined as usefulness, functionality, and efficiency. It is a no-nonsense deliberation of durable, yet comfortable chairs and stools that recall industrial aesthetics from factory and school-house furniture with a touch of contemporary sophistication.
The collection has been wildly popular for hospitality projects given its design versatility and aesthetic flexibility. It incorporates many qualities of two opposing worlds—it is masculine yet rounded, industrial yet sophisticated, utilitarian yet fashionable, and contemporary with traditional details.
The latest extension to the collection widens the range of pieces for even more potential applications. It consists of two lounge chairs (full back and mid-back), one daybed, and one two-seater, each product has leather and fabric versions. With these new pieces, the Utility collection can serve even more diverse hospitality projects as well as branch into the vibrant realm of commercial and office spaces.
