Coffee Table – Glass Top

Designed by Chandigarh Collective

The Coffee Table – Glass Top is a re-edition of the centre table that was made for public buildings in Chandigarh in the 1960s. The upper ā€˜U’ portion of the table is made of teak veneer glued to high quality water resistant plywood. The horizontal and vertical pieces of veneer that make up the upper portion have a visible 45 degree mitre joint between them. The 8mm glass table top is supported by a wooden stiffener that runs along the length of the table, just below the glass. There are two other solid teak braces that run along the length of the table and on which the top U base rests. The V-legs of the table are made of solid teak and are rounded along the edges.
